Responsibilities
Define and lead architecture of complex, cloud-based systems focused on scalability, reliability, and security
Design and evolve data architectures, including data models, pipelines, and lifecycle practices
Translate product and business requirements into robust technical designs
Establish best practices across software design, development workflows, and deployment strategies
Evaluate and integrate cloud platforms, databases, and supporting technologies
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
Review system designs and implementations with clear architectural guidance
Maintain architectural documentation for long-term maintainability
Improve development processes, tooling, and engineering methodologies
Implement data governance and security standards
Guide adoption of modern architectural patterns and emerging technologies
Contribute hands-on to Python-based backend and data systems when needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
8+ years of professional software development experience, with strong cloud architecture focus
Deep experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Proven experience designing large-scale distributed systems
Strong foundation in software architecture principles and design patterns
Solid expertise in SQL and NoSQL database systems
Experience with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and governance models
Strong proficiency in Python; experience with additional modern languages is a plus
Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices
System-level analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Comfortable working in agile, collaborative environments
