The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Legal Assistant 2 to join the Pennsylvania State Police in the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. The role involves reviewing and analyzing investigation reports related to the Pennsylvania Liquor Code and managing a caseload of complex investigations.

Responsibilities
Reviewing and analyzing investigation reports and related documents
Reviewing and examining violation letters and related Incident and Administrative Investigation Reports for compliance with the Pennsylvania Liquor Code
Managing an assigned caseload of complex and in-depth investigations
Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations
Handling sensitive and confidential matters
Preparing case summaries for presentation to the bureau director and legal team
Reviewing and evaluating involved legal documents to determine if the documents are contrary to the requirements of laws, regulations, and existing departmental policies
Qualification
Required
One year as a Legal Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Four years of responsible clerical, investigative or enforcement work including one year of legal clerical support experience; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
