Advanced Digital Cable LLC is dedicated to manufacturing high-quality products and is seeking a Quality Control Technician to assist in their quality assurance program. The role involves comprehensive inspection and testing of production materials and products, ensuring compliance with established specifications and reporting results to management and production personnel.

Responsibilities

Accurately follow existing inspection procedures and instructions and carries out established methods for inspection, testing, evaluation, and analysis

Carries out a comprehensive program of product sample testing, and uses established forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data

Obtains, prepares, and tests product samples to be submitted to Underwriters Laboratories (UL), Edison Test Labs (ETL), CSA Group, and/or other product accreditation agencies

Aids production personnel when engaged in product measuring and testing, tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability

Keeps production personnel aware of quality-related issues, doing so in a timely manner

Interfaces with management, the Quality Manager, and production personnel concerning questions about procurement, engineering, manufacturing, customer, or vendors to assist in the resolution of quality-related problems

Provides appropriate status reports describing progress and concerns related to inspection activities, nonconforming items, and/or other items related to the quality of the process, material, or product

Maintains a working knowledge of the latest codes, standards, specifications, and new developments in testing and examination methods of processes, materials, and products

Displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions

Competent in the definition and solution of technical problems related to manufacturing processes and procedures. Identifies and reports problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully
