Responsibilities

Assume responsibility for designing, validating, and implementing new NGS analysis pipelines including software lifecycle (SLC) activities when applicable
Provide statistical expertise for development projects
Work in a fast-paced, high throughput environment to meet client driven timelines
Interact directly with pharma clients and regulatory authorities, including the FDA
Be responsible for revenue generation by bioinformatic client deliverables
Participate in business development activities and presentations to win new business
Support the Quality Management System with good documentation practice and audit internal activities as applicable
Write SOPs, validation, and analysis reports
Function in a fast-paced, high throughput environment
Display and deliver with strong organizational skills and independent drive to sustain productivity and meet deadlines
Exhibit strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Prioritize workload to effectively manage several projects at any given time
Quickly and competently train on and perform new and updated analysis methods
Understand and perform specific tasks that need to be completed daily
Identify and offer suggestions for process improvements
Complete written reports as part of client deliverables
Maintain strong mindfulness and ability to work under pressure to generate high quality data analysis

Required

PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field. Experience may be substituted for education
5+ years of post-degree bioinformatics experience working on NGS assays are required, including but not limited to RNA-Seq, WGS, WES, or targeted panels
Full comfort working in a ix-based, command line environment. Bash or other scripting skills are essential
5+ years of scientific programming using Python and/or R
Proficiency in statistical analysis methodologies
Demonstrated ability to design, code, and validate analysis pipelines

Preferred

Experience with WDL, CWL, or other workflow development languages
Experience with implementing workflows in a cloud environment
Experience with Jira, Git and Oracle Agile PML strongly preferred
Experience in IVD product development, including design control, strongly preferred
