Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and adjust nursing schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all units
Coordinate shift coverage for call-offs, absences, and last-minute changes
Monitor staffing trends and communicate potential issues to leadership
Serve as the primary contact for nursing staff regarding schedules and shift updates
Collaborate with nursing leadership to address staffing needs and optimize workflow
Provide timely and clear communication regarding schedule changes, policies, and announcements
Maintain accurate records of hours worked, staffing patterns, and schedule adjustments
Ensure compliance with labor laws, facility policies, and any union or contractual requirements
Assist with reporting for payroll or timekeeping purposes
Work closely with HR, nursing leadership, and administration to improve scheduling processes
Support initiatives that enhance staff satisfaction, retention, and work-life balance
Qualification
Required
Prior experience in scheduling, staffing coordination, or administrative support, preferably in healthcare
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Comfortable using scheduling software and Microsoft Office
