Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of electrical engineering duties in support of statewide corrections institutions
Develop solutions to operation, maintenance, design, or construction problems
Reviewing and preparing all types of electrical engineering designs
Creating design drawings and specifications as required for construction projects
Conduct site surveys of construction projects
Attend design review meetings and conferences
Coordinate design efforts with all interested parties
Provide recommendations regarding equipment
Advocate for the department and facility during conferences and site inspections
Qualification
Required
Two years as an Electrical Engineer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Four years of professional electrical engineering experience which required work on any structural electrical system
You must possess a Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
This position requires possession of a valid driver's license
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
