Responsibilities
Controls access to our campus space by verifying badges and issuing badges
Monitors cameras to proactively protect our space
Uses Metal Detectors to screen for weapons
Uses common computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, and the Internet to complete tasks
Conducts patrols and provides services to team members both on foot and in a vehicle
Communicates with fellow team members to identify and respond to several types of non-emergency and emergency situations with a focus on de-escalation
Identifies and report hazards
Responds to and appropriately documents security related incidents around campus
Qualification
Required
Ability to work one of the following shifts based upon need: 5am-2pm, 7am-4pm, 1pm-10pm, or 10pm-6am
High School Diploma
Meet physical needs of the job
Must demonstrate good moral fitness and ethical standards
Outstanding verbal and nonverbal communication skills with a focus on de-escalation
Demonstrated ability to write incident reports
Demonstrated ability make independent and sound decisions under stress while adhering to established policies and procedures
Preferred
CPR certified
Prior security experience
Previous military or law enforcement experience
