Responsibilities
Accountable for implementing and maintaining a local procurement system (OnCare)
Approving Purchase Orders and maintaining a budget
Establish a reasonable and appropriate lead time for ordering and delivery of goods, ensuring this lead time is followed up and achieved
Oversee and monitor supply chain activities to ensure they are carried out in full compliance with company policy and procedures. Immediately notify of any actual or suspected irregularities or non-compliance in the supply chain
Provide recommendations for policy changes to enhance supply chain effectiveness, internal controls, or cost efficiencies
Ensure timely submission of the monthly Supply Chain Management Report, including identification of areas of concern/needing improvement and progress, and other logistics/procurement report
Perform regular checks to ensure that the commodity tracking system is adhered to by set facilities and perform periodic spot-checks
Plan for and supervise quarterly stock inventories and ensure that an effective stock-keeping system is in place for all locations
Manage material cost/risk through a number of methods including service/supply agreement negotiations, and alternative sourcing projects
Reduce Quarterly Packaging/Supplies/Food inventory by $10k through the negotiation of a JIT program
Maintain strong working relationships and communications with manufacturers and key suppliers to confirm schedules and monitor open purchase orders to ensure on-time deliveries
Supplier Management: RFQ, Cost saving initiatives, Negotiations, Supplier relationship/evaluation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or minimum 2 years relevant experience
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
Effective negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
Self-starter with the ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Preferred
Skilled Nursing Facility exposure and/or experience is a plus
