Senior Computer Systems Engineer TSSA
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Computer Systems Engineer/Architect with advanced expertise in BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) to lead technical design, optimization, and integration of enterprise automation solutions for a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard program. The role involves driving design and implementation of BMC TSSA architectures, leading platform upgrades, and collaborating with stakeholders to align automation solutions with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities
Drive the design and implementation of advanced BMC TSSA architectures to support enterprise automation initiatives
Lead complex platform upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization efforts across multi-platform environments
Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for critical technical issues impacting availability and compliance
Develop sophisticated automation frameworks using NSH, PowerShell, Python, and Bash to enhance operational efficiency
Oversee enterprise patch management strategies for Windows and Linux systems, ensuring alignment with DoD and USCG security standards
Integrate TSSA automation into DevOps pipelines and CI/CD workflows to accelerate modernization and deployment cycles
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align automation solutions with organizational objectives and security mandates
Maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture, operational procedures, and automation standards
Qualification
Required
High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
Clearance Required: secret
Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA +)
BMC TSSA Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with BMC TrueSight Server Automation, including implementation, upgrade, and administration
Scripting: Proficiency in NSH (Network Shell), python, bash, java, and PowerShell scripting for automation and customization
Patch Management: Extensive experience in server patch management for both Windows and Unix/Linux environments using TSSA
Operating Systems: Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration
Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues
Preferred
Experience supporting DoD or U.S. Coast Guard environments
Database Knowledge: Familiarity with Oracle or SQL Server databases
Cloud Experience: Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
DevOps and CI/CD: Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with CI/CD tools
