Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of our streaming business and the content operations choreography behind it
Identify and shape opportunities to improve visibility across ingest, processing, and publishing cycles for both VOD and live/linear content with the ultimate goal of tightening those cycles to optimize platform efficiency and resiliency
Synthesize operator needs, pain points, and desires into clear problem statements, user journeys, and functional requirements for your design and engineering team to draw inspiration from as you collaborate through the creative problem solving process
Author well-crafted user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure scope and operator-facing expectations are articulated and understood going into development, testing, and onboarding
Track metrics to continuously optimize your features with sound data-guided decisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required
A seasoned generalist with applicable domain experience who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution across a variety of business-critical projects
Self-starter who will work cross-functionally with software engineers, user-experience designers, technical program managers, and content operations teams

Preferred
Experience with the following industry standards related to modern streaming services: Content and media delivery specifications for SVOD and DMVPD VOD use cases (MovieLabs, CableLabs, IMF)
Audiovisual media formats (ProRes, AVC, HEVC, AV1, PCM, AAC, E-AC3, TTML, WebVTT)
Adaptive bitrate streaming technologies (HLS, DASH, CMAF)
Familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and data aggregation, preferably in the context of supporting on-prem and cloud-based media workflows
Ability to synthesize technical concepts for UX designers in order to develop and refine creative solutions for advanced subject-matter experts
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a knack for translating nuanced complexities into simple problem statements and compelling narratives
