Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Java and modern engineering practices
Build and operate cloud-ready solutions on AWS (compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring)
Design, query, and optimize data models and workflows using SQL
Ensure high quality through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD practices, and documentation
Troubleshoot production issues, improve observability, and implement performance optimizations
Participate in technical design discussions, sprint planning, and continuous improvement in an Agile environment
Mentor teammates and promote best practices in backend architecture, code quality, and security

Qualification

JavaAWSSQLAPI designAgile experienceCommunication skills

Required

8+ years of experience in software development delivering backend systems in production
Strong hands-on expertise with Java in enterprise and/or high-scale environments
Solid experience building, deploying, and operating solutions on AWS
Strong SQL skills, including data modeling and performance tuning
Experience designing and maintaining APIs and backend integrations
Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating across functions
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
