SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER (OKLAHOMA CITY, OK)

Oklahoma Blood Institute is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to advance their career while saving lives. The role focuses on developing and modifying computer programs at the systems level, as well as collaborating with management to ensure project success and deliver innovative solutions for blood banking systems.

Responsibilities

Producing and/or modifying computer programs of all sizes and complexity at the systems level using prescribed computer programming languages
Solving systems and program problems plus recommending courses of action to take on new or existing applications, while considering the total system spectrum
Performing extensive research, analysis, definition, and documentation of blood banking systems
Recommending the appropriate solution for the application
Working closely with the Development Manager and Software Architect to assist with overall project success during any point in the systems development life cycle
Providing technical design, estimating project tasks, performing unit testing and application support, highlighting areas where expertise will be valued
Working closely with the Chief Technology Officer to transform business needs into technology and business process solutions
Delivering innovative solutions that enhance productivity, quality and competitiveness for OBI
Communicating effectively at all levels of the organization in a professional, fast-paced environment

Required

Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field with experience in Applications design and development
Must have experience working through the application design, development, and deployment
Strong understanding of the software development cycle
Strong technical writing skills and the ability to create training materials and train others
Ability to excel in idea generation, evaluation, and prioritization, cross-functional technical development
A record of successful delivery to meet organization timelines
Strong technical knowledge and problem resolution skills; strong analytical skills, time management
Ability to develop and implement procedures and policies
Service oriented; self-starter; takes ownership; willing to take on additional responsibility

Preferred

Prefer experience with Oracle, SQL Server, .NET Core, .NET Standard, .NET Framework, Angular 4+, React, React native, Objective C, Swift, Java, and C++
Enterprise application development experience preferred
