Marketing & Communications Specialist
Community Guilds Inc., operating as STE(A)M Truck, is a nonprofit providing mobile STEM education to students across Metro Atlanta and rural Georgia. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will elevate the brand and drive fundraising efforts through strategic storytelling, social media management, and content creation.

Responsibilities
Design year-end and special campaign materials (digital and print)
Produce monthly donor newsletter with segmented content for different giving levels
Write compelling fundraising appeals and donor communications
Create quarterly board reports and stakeholder updates
Gather and craft student success stories and educator testimonials
Support Giving Tuesday, year-end campaigns, and fundraising initiatives
Manage presence on 2-3 primary platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
Create and schedule engaging posts (3-5 per week) showcasing program impact
Capture photo/video content during site visits to program locations
Respond to engagement and comments
Track metrics and adjust strategy for maximum reach
Write and distribute monthly educator-focused newsletter with program updates
Maintain and update website with current program information and impact stories
Create visual content and graphics for digital materials
Ensure all communications align with organizational voice and brand
Maintain branded templates and collateral for organizational use
Coordinate with Program Directors to gather program data and success stories
Support ED with presentation materials for external engagements
Attend monthly team meetings and strategic planning
Qualification
Required
Available 20-30 hours/wk
3+ years professional experience in nonprofit marketing, communications, or fundraising
Exceptional writing skills with portfolio demonstrating storytelling and donor communications
Experience with email marketing platforms and newsletter creation
Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
Strong social media content creation and management experience
Comfortable with photo/video capture and basic editing
Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision
Genuine passion for education equity and STEM access
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
Availability for some evening or weekend work as needed
Preferred
Experience in education nonprofit sector
Website management experience (Squarespace)
Email marketing platform experience (Mailchimp)
Graphic design skills beyond templates
Spanish language skills
