Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise middleware platforms including WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, and related technologies
Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems, middleware services, and supporting infrastructure
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code and automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Helm, or Puppet
Partner with application and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and system lifecycle management
Monitor, diagnose, and resolve production issues with a focus on performance, stability, and high availability
Prepare system deliverables including architecture designs, system analyses, and performance tuning documentation
Recommend system enhancements, technology improvements, and disaster recovery strategies
Apply enterprise DevOps standards, governance, and operational best practices across middleware platforms
Qualification
Required
15+ years of experience supporting enterprise middleware platforms
Strong experience with application servers such as WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, WildFly, and Tomcat
Hands-on Linux administration experience across Red Hat and UNIX-based environments
Experience implementing automation and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions
Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and DevOps operating models
Ability to troubleshoot complex system, network, and middleware issues independently
US citizenship is required
Candidates must be local to the NYC area and available to come onsite as needed
Preferred
Experience across operating systems including Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Windows Server
Familiarity with J2EE technologies, scripting languages, and database platforms
Experience supporting large, highly regulated enterprise environments
