Responsibilities
Lead and manage the execution of multiple IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Provide portfolio management and strategic roadmap planning support, ensuring IT initiatives align with organizational priorities, funding, and long-term technology vision
Plan, coordinate, and implement projects to meet deliverables and stakeholder expectations
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, providing regular status updates to stakeholders
Oversee project scope, schedule, and resource allocation to achieve objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals
Proactively identify and address risks, issues, and dependencies to maintain project performance
Implement Agile methodologies and best practices in project management processes
Manage the Project Management Office (PMO) and oversee IT projects throughout their lifecycle
Support the CIO and PMO in planning and facilitating annual business review meetings, IT steering committee meetings, and executive governance forums by preparing portfolio insights, metrics, and decision materials
Provide weekly milestone reports and ensure accurate tracking of project progress using tools like ServiceNow
Facilitate communication and consensus among project stakeholders to foster collaboration
Assess project, program, and process performance for continuous improvement opportunities
Report on cross-project dependencies and provide updates to leadership
Support operational maintenance plans and develop procedures for completed projects
Qualification
Required
7-10 years of proven experience in IT project management or related fields
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required
Demonstrated success in managing complex projects on time and within budget
Demonstrated experience in IT portfolio management, strategic roadmap development, and executive-level PMO support for governance and decision-making
Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, and ServiceNow
In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies and their application beyond software development
Experience in managing a Project Management Office (PMO) and leading IT-wide initiatives
Ability to create realistic plans, set achievable objectives, and minimize project changes
Strong verbal and written skills to build consensus across project teams and stakeholders
Exceptional time-management abilities to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Competence in assessing program and project performance to drive continuous improvement
Preferred
Familiarity with NEI or federal IT project management processes is a plus
Knowledge of IT infrastructure projects including networks, cloud, and security, along with application development and modernization initiatives, is highly desirable
