Responsibilities
Support the Bureau of Laboratories' mission to test human and non-human samples to identify diseases and conditions
Process requests for laboratory supplies and equipment
Coordinate vendor engagement
Resolve issues related to the receipt of goods or services
Ensure the timely payment of invoices
Educate staff on essential procurement policies
Finalize purchase orders
Develop formal contracts
Execute other vital purchasing activities to ensure seamless laboratory operations
Qualification
Required
Three years of experience in purchasing work involving contact with vendors in the procurement of a variety of supplies, materials, equipment, or services
Three years of experience in requisitioning, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory of goods
An equivalent combination of experience and training. Post-high school education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for purchasing or stores experience to a maximum of two years
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation
