Assistant Bridge Maintenance Coordinator - Civil Engineer Supervisor
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced engineer for the role of Assistant Bridge Maintenance Coordinator. This position involves assisting in the operations of the bridge maintenance program, applying engineering principles for decision-making, and supervising maintenance crews while ensuring compliance with departmental policies.

Responsibilities
Assist the operations of the bridge maintenance program across various counties, ensuring adherence to departmental policies, guidelines, and standards
Apply engineering principles to make informed decisions regarding work assignments
Maintain records, schedule in-house maintenance tasks, and supervise the Bridge Maintenance Crews responsible for all structures within the District
Provide engineering support to design teams and the Bridge Management Unit in preparing contracts for contractor-led bridge maintenance work
Assist in drafting the annual Bridge Washing Contract
Offer field supervision to the Bridge Crews in your assigned region, ensuring they receive the necessary engineering guidance during their operations
Direct and mentor the Bridge Foremen (HF3) in your region, focusing on structure repairs, facility modifications, and summer maintenance activities
Qualification
Required
Five years of civil engineering experience and an Engineer-In-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
One year of civil engineering experience in highway design, construction or maintenance related projects and a bachelor's degree with major course work in civil engineering
This position requires possession of a valid driver's license
You must be able to perform essential job functions
