Responsibilities
Serve as a Mechanical Engineer Consultant responsible for the technical development of mechanical design solutions and facility programs supporting the PA National Guard and Office of Veterans’ Affairs
Develop guidelines and procedures for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) design, facility operations and maintenance plans, building commissioning, building management systems, and energy management to reduce operation and maintenance (O&M) costs, conserve energy, and promote a desirable working environment
Serve on the DMVA energy team
Qualification
Required
Two years as a Mechanical Engineer 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Four years of professional mechanical engineering experience which required work on any structural mechanical system
You must be in possession of a Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
You must be in possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must possess a valid federal or state-issued photo ID and pass a favorable NCIC screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap
You must be able to perform essential job functions
A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination
This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance
