Responsibilities
Draft appellate briefs and submissions for federal and state courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court
Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on statutory, constitutional, and administrative issues
Assist in developing appellate strategy and coordinating with trial teams on preservation of key issues
Participate in client meetings and case discussions with partners and senior counsel
Contribute to a team recognised for its excellence in written and oral advocacy
Qualification
Required
2–4 years of appellate litigation experience, preferably at a top-tier firm or government agency
Outstanding academic credentials and exceptional legal writing skills
Member of the D.C. Bar or eligible for admission
Preferred
Strong familiarity with the Administrative Procedure Act and related regulatory frameworks preferred
Federal appellate clerkship experience is highly valued; current judicial clerks are encouraged to apply
