Responsibilities
Apply Radio Frequency (RF) engineering principles to analyze performance
Contribute to spectrum management, satellite registration, and RF network design
Conduct modeling and simulations for wireless communication systems
Utilize communication theory, link budgets, and electromagnetic principles in system analysis
Develop and use software tools to analyze co-frequency sharing between wireless networks
Support algorithm development, validation, and documentation of analytical tools
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (Consideration given to candidates with degrees in Computer Engineering, Aerospace, or Physics with relevant experience)
3+ years in RF engineering or related fields
Secret Clearance or higher required
Experience with RF design, antennas, wireless communications, and signal processing
Familiarity with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), or National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) system registration processes
Proficiency in performance analysis and optimization of RF networks
Collaborative contributor motivated by the opportunity to develop cutting-edge solutions that protect and serve both the nation and the world
Preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including probability, statistics, linear algebra, and algorithm development
Proficiency in programming tools such as MATLAB, STK, Visualyse, C++, or Python
Experience with high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, and implementation methodologies
Knowledge of spectrum-sharing algorithms, analysis tools, and validation methods
