Manager of Sales and Field Operations-Fraternal Life Insurance

Luso-American Financial is a member-owned fraternal benefit society dedicated to helping families achieve financial security. The Manager of Sales and Field Operations will support sales and field operations while driving sales through direct engagement and managing a team of sales agents.

Responsibilities

Pursue prospective new clients, maintain relationships with current policyholders by offering and explaining our products by customize our programs to suit each member by suggesting additions or changes to policies, often covering a variety of risks
Recruit and onboard the internal and independent sales agents, by providing introductory training and meeting with sales agents (one on one) regularly to ascertain activity, production and sales pipeline. Manage continuous sales training, providing updated information and education to all sales agents
Establish sales objectives, annual production goals and objectives for each agent while also monitoring field performance and schedules. Forecast and developing annual sales quotas, projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
Working with our Marketing team, help to develop programs and recruit sales personnel to increase business activity, profits, and sales nationally. This includes recruiting campaigns to attract new licensed agents in multiple states and marketing collateral
Use field market data, identify, propose and recommend potential new life and annuity products that would meet the needs of the organization
Network and establish relationships for which the organization can grow and increase membership. Acts as a liaison for Luso-American Financial with other Portuguese and other non-profit community-based organizations

Required

A bachelor's degree in any business field is preferred or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years previous relevant experience with a proven track record in sales, as a sales manager or sales/marketing director
Demonstrated ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. Demonstrative ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services and position products against competitors
Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization as a strong leader, coach and team management skills to inspire sales teams
Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation, interpersonal skills, and verbal/written communication skills-bilingual (English and Portuguese) a plus
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with experience in goal setting, performance tracking, and meeting sales targets
Ability to work independently with excellent organizational skills and proficiency in creating tailored financial solutions for diverse client needs
