Responsibilities
Defend employers in complex employment litigation in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, including the EEOC and Department of Labor
Advise clients on a wide range of employment matters, including discrimination and harassment, wage and hour compliance, leave entitlements, hiring and termination, discipline, whistleblowing, and employment and severance agreements
Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery (including e-discovery), motion practice, and oral advocacy
Work on wage and hour collective actions and employment class actions
Take and defend depositions and support hearings and trial preparation
Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues in a team-oriented practice
Qualification
Required
4–7 years of labor and employment experience in a law firm environment
Strong background defending employers in high-stakes litigation
Excellent academic credentials with outstanding research, writing, and advocacy skills
Detail-oriented, commercially minded, and confident managing matters independently
Admitted to practice in Florida (required)
Preferred
Prior AmLaw experience is advantageous
