Responsibilities
Providing guidance and mentoring junior level Certification Engineers
Providing guidance in work estimates and project schedules
Coordinating with Aftermarket and Product Program managers
Supporting technical and certification strategy discussions with customers and internal Honeywell stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aerospace or equivalent discipline
8 years experience in the development and certification of avionics systems & equipment
A US Citizen or permanent resident due to export control and ITAR restrictions
Ability to travel
Preferred
Previous or current FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) delegation or ODA Engineering Unit Member
Demonstrated technical leadership experience
Knowledge of aircraft wiring and associated documentation is preferred
Knowledge of communication, navigation, surveillance, flight controls, flight management systems is an asset
Demonstrated communication skills with both internal and external customers as well as leadership
Self-directing with ability to manage to schedules & metrics is preferred
A proven ability for fostering excellent customer/certification agency relationships is a plus
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and productivity gains through use of collaborative team methods is preferred
