They are searching for a Sr. Project Manager who will manage construction projects, oversee on-site personnel, and ensure project safety while maximizing profits and maintaining cost controls.

Responsibilities

Studies specifications and plans to coordinate procedures for appropriate construction methods based on project start and completion requirements
Studies staffing and equipment needs for each phase of construction, directs, and supervises construction activities and related staffing/equipment needs
Procurement of materials, tools, and rental equipment to conform to project schedules
Recruiting, hiring, training, managing and mentoring employees and contractors
Directs on-site personnel engaged in planning the work procedures, executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, plans, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays
Confers with supervisory personnel, owners, engineers, inspectors, contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems to improve construction methods and performance
Inspects and reviews work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications, plans, schedules, and safety compliance
Prepares or reviews reports on progress and costs related to materials, equipment and labor used and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports
Controls any disputes with the public and customers, including damage to personal property or repair to public facilities
Confers and cooperates with other onsite personnel in following administrative, operational policies and procedures
Investigates and reports damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites to ensure that proper construction procedures are being followed
Monitors compliance with project safety program requirements, documents and ensures corrective measures are implemented as necessary
Enforces compliance with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and governmental regulations
Prepares recommendations for management performance evaluation
Prepares and reviews project estimates

Required

Four (4) years minimum related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance
Ability to read a tape measure and convert inches into tenths
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical part, fumes, airborne particles, caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock
