Responsibilities
Lead the strategic planning and execution of Chamber events that advance organizational goals, member engagement, and revenue growth
Drive revenue through proactive outside sales, identifying and securing new event sponsorships while renewing existing partnerships to meet or exceed annual funding targets
Serve as the primary owner and decision-maker for events from concept through completion, providing on-site leadership and accountability
Oversee event budgets, financial performance, vendor contracts, and sponsorship fulfillment to ensure high-quality outcomes and fiscal responsibility
Build and manage relationships with sponsors, vendors, members, and community partners to deliver exceptional experiences and long-term value
Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, marketing, and membership teams to align events with broader Chamber initiatives
Analyze event performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement enhancements to elevate impact and efficiency
Manage and support staff, volunteers, and ambassadors involved in event execution, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
3–5 years of proven experience in event management, program coordination, or hospitality
A demonstrated ability to lead complex events from the initial 'big idea' through to final execution
Strong financial judgment, including budgeting and expense tracking
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Proficiency with event management tools, Microsoft Office, and CRM platforms
The ability to work evenings and occasional weekends as event schedules require
Preferred
A background in nonprofit, association, or membership-based organizations
Experience supporting sponsorships or fundraising initiatives
Familiarity with event marketing and engagement strategies
