Responsibilities
Machine Set-Up & Changeover: Configure machinery for new production runs, which includes installing tools, dies, and fixtures
Quality Validation: Conduct first-article inspections and periodic quality checks using precision tools like calipers and micrometers to verify parts meet blueprints
Calibration: Adjust machine settings, including speed, pressure, and temperature, to meet product specifications
Documentation: Complete work orders, maintain setup sheets, and log production data
Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure long-term functionality
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures, including OSHA guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Qualification
Required
Skilled in using hand and power tools
Ability to lift, stand, walk, and work in a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical knowledge
Previous experience with manufacturing machinery
High school diploma or GED is usually required
Preferred
A technical degree or relevant on-the-job experience is highly preferred
