Responsibilities
Conduct building closures of campus facilities including foot patrols of interior and exterior of buildings
Respond to emergencies, disturbances, safety hazards, medical situations, and calls for service
Contact emergency personnel (law enforcement, fire, EMS) when needed to protect individuals or campus property
Report maintenance or safety concerns such as lighting outages, unsecured doors, and facility hazards to Supervisor
Write and submit clear, detailed, and timely incident reports to Supervisor
Assist with evening event security and crowd management
Provide wellness checks, escorts, and customer service support as requested
Enforce campus policies and procedures respectfully and consistently
Provide evening & Saturday Security needs for Todd-Burch Hall, Powers House, & Main Street View
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma and relevant experience in a security position, law enforcement, military, corrections, or other like position
Current Colorado Driver's License
Ability to walk/stand for extended periods
Ability to lift 25-50 lbs occasionally
Ability to respond quickly to emergencies
Ability to write incident reports accurately and professionally
Ability to pass a Criminal background check
Preferred
Associates Degree or relevant experience in a security position, law enforcement, military, corrections, or other like position
Prior experience in campus safety, security, military, corrections, or law enforcement
Experience with behavioral intervention or crisis response
