Responsibilities

Demonstrate an absolute commitment to safety and models safe behavior; acts as safety champion for team
Demonstrate through actions and behavior a commitment to quality; acts as quality champion for team
Leads MDI board meetings and other Lean related activities
Must demonstrate proficiency of all jobs within the team; coordinates team job rotation schedule and flexing of team members in assigned work area to ensure one piece work flow and that the team’s production goals are achieved
Troubleshoots simple machines, process, or product, or employee issues
Problem solving and ability to respond to line stoppages and support the line
Effectively communicate with associates at all levels including material handlers, production leaders, etc
Knowledge & understanding of operational excellence and compliance with completing all standard work required of the team leader position

Required

2+ years of manufacturing experience required
Must have good written and oral interpersonal communication skills
Completion of TLDP or other leadership training
Team focused and cooperative across teams and shifts
Must be able to demonstrate sustained exemplary performance in attitude, attendance and ability
Knowledge and application of the Lean Principles
Ability to lead others and influence behavior
Experience influencing others
Willingness to learn
Ability to train others
Ability to perform the job that employees under their supervision are also performing
Ability to problem solve, provide feedback, and coach others Must promote a clear quality vision
Must be able to promote continuous improvement in products, services and processes
Must be able to demonstrate strong computer skills. (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
