Mechanical Engineer
Jobs via Dice is seeking a Level 2 Mechanical Design Engineer to support engineering design and product development for advanced mechanical systems. The role involves designing components, creating 3D models, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical and electromechanical components, systems, and assemblies
Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CREO 10
Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and compliance with ASME standards
Use DSR6 and internal drawing release standards to produce complete design packages
Manage engineering documentation and configuration control using EPDM or related Product Data Management systems
Support engineering teams in prototype development, testing, validation, and problem-solving
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality, and program teams
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering change processes
Ensure adherence to all engineering standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
Work fully onsite and maintain eligibility for access to Export Controlled Information (ECI)
Qualification
Required
Mechanical or electromechanical design engineering experience
Hands-on experience with CREO 10 (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings)
Experience using DSR6 (or similar drawing/dimensioning release standards)
Proficiency with EPDM or similar Product Data Management software
Strong understanding and application of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
Ability to create accurate drawings, BOMs, and engineering design documentation
Ability to work onsite at one of the listed locations
Strong communication and teamwork skills
