Responsibilities

Architect and implement software features for Google Beam, spanning demonstration tools and core end-user product experiences
Lead the engineering execution for critical demos and public events, ensuring software stability and high visual quality under tight deadline
Partner with UX, Beam Studios (film production), and hardware teams to translate requirements into production-ready solutions and validate new display technologies
Prototype and iterate on new interactive software features that showcase the unique capabilities of the Google Beam platform
Design and maintain the team's internal prototyping infrastructure and conduct technical "spikes" to evaluate 3D telepresence technology for new verticals like retail and healthcare

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
2 years of experience with software development in C++
2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
Experience designing and implementing scalable system integration architectures

Preferred

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
Experience designing, prototyping, testing, or maintaining, augmented or virtual reality products
Experience with 2D/3D graphics development in C++
Experience with Linux system administration
Experience in computer vision
