Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor a talented team in the Financial Adjustments and Resolution Department, leveraging your knowledge of accounting systems and procedures under the guidance of the Accounts Receivable Manager
Plan, oversee, and execute all fiscal and accounting operations within Financial Adjustments and Resolution to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Monitor and maintain robust internal controls, processes, and documentation to uphold financial integrity and compliance standards
Manage critical functions including Employer Refunds and Prospective Billing & Collections email communications
Review and approve manual refund requests in alignment with signature authority guidelines, ensuring timely and precise processing
Create and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports that highlight collection efforts, resolution progress, and process improvements for leadership

Required

Completion of undergraduate core coursework in accounting; 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques; 24 mos. exp. in accounting or in other fiscal/financial activity with exp. to be commensurate with duties to be assigned
Or undergraduate core coursework in business administration, economics or computer science; 16 semester or 24 quarter hours in accounting, 24 mos. exp. in position involving accounting, billings, collections, payments or reimbursements with exp. commensurate with duties to be assigned; 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques
Or 6 mos. as Accountant/Examiner Supervisor 1, 66115 with state government exp. commensurate with duties to be assigned
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above
Knowledge of: BWC, Finance & Collections policy & standard operating procedures; accounting; finance, employee training & development; supervision; management; interviewing; business; BWC State Insurance & Administrative Cost Funds
Skill in: Personal Computer; BWC software (e.g. Microsoft Office products); calculator & adding machine
Ability to: add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals & percentages; apply principles to solve practical problems; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; complete routine forms; prepare meaningful, concise & accurate reports; gather, collate & classify information about data, people or things; handle routine & sensitive correspondence; establish friendly atmosphere as supervisor or work unit
