Responsibilities
Model and communicate Superior Rigging and Erecting values, standards, and safety expectations daily
Serve as the company leader on assigned projects, setting the standard for professionalism, communication, and accountability
Foster a collaborative, safety-first jobsite culture focused on continuous improvement
Partner with Sales and Estimating to fully understand scope, pricing, schedule, and productivity assumptions
Lead project kickoff meetings with Operations and field leadership to align on scope, objectives, and financial targets
Develop detailed project plans, including manpower strategy, sequencing, resource allocation, and budgets
Identify project risks and implement mitigation and contingency plans
Provide required project start-up documentation to clients
Track project progress against schedule, milestones, and deliverables
Identify and resolve execution issues that could impact safety, cost, or schedule
Proactively clear obstacles for field teams, including materials, RFIs, workforce access, and approvals
Ensure project time is entered accurately and timely
Maintain care and accountability for company equipment and materials
Serve as the primary client contact and manage all project communications
Exercise sound judgment regarding verbal versus written communication and escalation to leadership when required
Lead or participate in internal and external project meetings as needed
Proactively assess and respond to client needs throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain full accountability for project financial performance
Ensure work is not performed at risk and all required approvals or notices to proceed are in place
Submit and track change orders in accordance with contract requirements
Maintain accurate change order logs and provide monthly updates to clients
Manage project billing, schedule of values, and coordination with accounting
Maintain a positive cash position throughout the project lifecycle
Update project profit plans, cost-to-complete, and forecasts monthly, maintaining accuracy within established expectations
Manage project closeout activities and documentation in accordance with contract and company requirements
Ensure timely and complete project closeout
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a Project Manager in steel erection or structural construction environments
Demonstrated success managing multiple projects with full profit and loss responsibility
Strong understanding of construction contracts, change management, and project financial controls
Ability to lead field teams, interface with clients, and operate effectively in fast-paced jobsite conditions
Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to support projects in either the Atlanta or Orlando market as business needs dictate
