They are seeking an Android Engineer to build and manage their Android app, collaborating with design, product, and backend teams to create a high-quality product that meets customer needs.

Responsibilities
You'll build our Android app
You'll own the Android app end to end, working with the design, product, backend teams, to solve the biggest problems for our customers
You'll help us make the right tradeoffs, taking into consideration design and business limitations, and build a product for the long term with robust and reliable code
Being the early Android engineer, over the next few years, we expect you to grow, train and manage your team
You'll create experiences that shape an iconic product. We believe in hiring smart people that pride themselves in good values, their work ethics, and holding great responsibility
Qualification
Required
Proficient with Kotlin
3+ years of experience in building Android apps
Ability to build native Android apps
Ability to work in teams
Ability to work within business constraints
Desire to create experiences that shape an iconic product
Willingness to grow, train, and manage a team
Preferred
Experience with common libraries and frameworks such as Kotlin Multiplatform, Ktor, Jetpack libraries, Animations, and Custom views
Experience in building and maintaining products for large consumer markets
Experience in publishing apps to the Play Store
Understanding of user behaviour and building pixel-perfect applications with animations, micro-interactions, and complex UI
Experience in working in chaotic environments and being involved in product and business decisions
Ability to collaborate and work with product, backend, and design teams
Experience in making tradeoffs between time, speed, and features within business constraints
Passion for giving back to the community through blogging, mentoring, and contributing to open source
