Senior Device Certification Engineer

The Senior Device Certification Engineer will lead device certification and launch efforts, manage test plans, and coordinate cross-functional testing activities to ensure product readiness.

Responsibilities
Lead device certification and launch efforts across smartphones, tablets, wearables, and other products, including test planning, execution, and lab entry reviews
Develop and manage test plans, test cases, and accounts for new features, products, and services, ensuring readiness for certification and launch
Coordinate cross-functional testing activities, including first article inspections and stakeholder reviews, while continuously improving test processes and tools
Communicate test progress, issues, and KPIs through dashboards and reports; drive root cause analysis and resolutions for launched devices
Maintain strong OEM and internal partnerships, supporting supply chain planning, product strategies, and simplifying the device certification process
Collaborate on strategic initiatives, translating high-level goals into actionable plans and aligning with engineering, product, and marketing stakeholders
Qualification
Required
5+ years of device testing experience
5+ years of test plan creation/architecting
3+ years of planning test activities, either as a project manager or a team lead
Experience/expertise with cellular network technologies(5G SA, 5G NSA, 4G LTE, VoNR, VoLTE, Wi-Fi Calling, Regulatory features)
Experience with dashboarding tools/apps(Tableau, Elastic etc)
Expert problem solving skills using device log analysis, data analytics
Strong passion for mobile products, the marketplace and underlying technologies along with strong leadership, communication and cross-functional team building skills are foundational to the success of this role
Previous experience launching mobile devices and working closely with device manufacturers is critical
Deep understanding of industry best practices in product development process specific to the telecommunications space and translate appropriate steps for unique organization and market position
Preferred
Preferred experience with BSS/OSS, TS.43 and other backend server related requirements, working knowledge in troubleshooting issues pertaining to these entities
