Responsibilities
Overseeing daily accounting operations (AP/AR, schedules, reconciliations, payroll review)
Leading month-end close and producing accurate, timely financial statements
Benchmarking store performance and identifying opportunities to improve profitability
Ensuring compliance with company policy, tax requirements, and internal controls
Supporting audits, forecasts, and budgeting efforts
Training, supporting, and developing accounting team members
Working closely with HoneyCar leadership to enhance financial processes and systems
Qualification
Required
3-5+ years of dealership accounting experience
Strong understanding of automotive accounting, schedules, and financial reporting
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Leadership skills with a coaching mindset
Ownership mentality — accuracy, urgency, and accountability in everything you do
Preferred
Controller or Office Manager experience preferred
Experience with CDK or similar DMS systems is highly preferred
