ELECTRONICS ENGINEER
NAVWAR is seeking an Electronics Engineer to serve in the Fleet Support Team Group of FLTREADCEN EAST. The role involves overseeing the development and evaluation of engineering documents, recommending personnel actions, and conducting performance monitoring and cost analysis for engineering projects.

Responsibilities
You will oversee development or evaluation of engineering and logistics documents, engineering change proposals, technical directives, inspection/maintenance requirements, repairs and redesign of the platforms systems and components
You will recommend and propose personnel actions to higher levels of supervision leadership
You will investigate, research, and determine applicability of major modifications for the program
You will monitor performance of engineering technical analyses, engineering investigations, economic analyses and support services
You will develop cost analysis tradeoffs for varying degrees of capability to ensure requirements are balanced with affordability

Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1.) Developing program sustainment and acquisition engineering support. 2.) Managing technical and professional services required to sustain a weapon system. 3.) Evaluating new approaches, guides and standards to make engineering decisions
Applicants must possess successful completion of a professional engineering degree
The program must lead to a bachelor's degree (or higher) in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
Or include differential and integral calculus and courses in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics
Or current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico
Or evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration
Or successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering
Or successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, provided the applicant has had at least one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance
