Systems Engineer (Entry-level, Associate or Experienced Level)

Responsibilities
Design and develop next generation RF, digital, and optical satellite communication systems
Develop and verify multi-rate, fixed-point digital signal processing architectures
Allocate, define, and verify requirements and interfaces in the development of communication digital payloads
Develop performance and link budgets
Conduct performance analysis of signal processing models
Assist with conducting trade studies
Develop prototype demonstrations on flight-like communication subsystem testbeds
Support unit-level integration and performance simulations
Support ASIC and FPGA level system design and verification
Support hardware procurement, design reviews, and unit sell-offs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Entry Level (Level 1): Bachelor or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
Associate Level (Level 2): typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
Experienced Level (Level 3): typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
Education or experience in signal processing
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. 'U.S. Person' includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or similar degree in signal processing or algorithm development focus
Master's degree in or similar degree in signal processing or algorithm development focus
Development of algorithms for hardware implementation on ASICs or FPGAs
Digital Signal Processing based classes, projects or work experience
Simulink experience in work or school. Python, C++, or other languages acceptable
Substantive involvement and/or leadership in group-oriented project work
Verification planning and principles, while applying their theoretical knowledge in resolving real world problems
