Responsibilities
Apply Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) fundamentals and collaborate with teams to help them understand and apply RCCA tools and principles and analyze/understand failure to resolve issues
Interface with supplier engineering and agreement manufacturers to monitor quality and reliability, drive continuous improvements, investigate and coordinate failure analysis, isolate true root causes, categorize failures, and drive corrective/preventative actions in collaboration with the design and commodity teams
Complete quality improvement initiatives with suppliers and Google engineering
Manage quality section of supplier scorecards during business reviews and drive systemic quality/reliability improvements
Conduct and manage supplier quality audits, driving high standards in manufacturing and quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Power related field, or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience in the power technology and manufacturing process
Experience in statistical product quality control, process capability, reliability, failure analysis, and process improvement
Preferred
Certification in American society for quality (e.g., CQE, CQM, CRE, or CQA)
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Power related field, or equivalent practical experience
10 years of experience in quality, reliability, or supplier quality management
Experience with reliability prediction tools
Experience with scripting languages and SQL
