Responsibilities

Leverage your existing utility relationships to bring new business
Lead RFP/RFQ strategy and responses for opportunities within your network and beyond
Serve as a trusted advisor to utility clients on data analytics, modernization, and strategic initiatives
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities within your existing client base
Build on your network by expanding into adjacent utilities and new geographic markets
Collaborate with our delivery teams to ensure client success and long-term partnerships
Represent Amplytico at industry conferences and executive forums where you're already known and respected
Mentor and guide junior business development staff as we scale

Required

10+ years of business development or client relationship management in consulting services, with at least 7 years in the energy/utility sector
Demonstrable book of business: Active relationships with utility clients who can serve as references and potential early engagements
Proven track record of winning $10M+ in consulting engagements over your career
Deep expertise in utility operations, regulatory landscape, and industry challenges (grid mod, AMI/smart meters, DERMS, etc.)
Extensive network across utilities in multiple states or regions
Experience selling analytics, data warehouse, or technology consulting services to utilities
Strong understanding of utility procurement processes and competitive RFP dynamics
Willingness to travel 30-40% for client meetings and industry engagements

Preferred

Existing relationships at Texas utilities (ERCOT market), California IOUs, or major Midwest/Southeast utilities
Previous experience at Big 4, Accenture, Guidehouse, or boutique utility consultancies
Knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, or utility analytics platforms
Track record of successfully transitioning clients between firms
Active participation in utility industry associations (EEI, AGA, APPA, etc.)
MBA or relevant advanced degree
