Responsibilities
Perform the services of an Insurance Broker for Property, Casualty, Worker’s Compensation, Commercial Auto, Umbrella, Excess, and Foreign Package policies
Advise and complete the placement of new and renewal P&C programs including crafting submissions
Completing placements within required timeframes and servicing those placements including their renewals
Analyze and review insurance programs for clients to determine optimum program including pricing, terms and conditions for both new and renewal business
Build and maintain strong relationships with the carriers and underwriters
Mentor and help develop associate brokers on the team
Work as a team member and collaborate with other colleagues within the Aon team
Qualification
Required
8+ years of relevant insurance P&C business experience
Proven knowledge of Casualty (Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, General Liability, Umbrella/Excess) and Property coverages
An understanding of Middle Market P&C risks and carrier appetites
Knowledge of Benchmarking and Loss Analysis
Relationships with the carriers that write Middle Market P&C business
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Outstanding Microsoft Suite and presentation skills
Knowledge of loss-sensitive accounts, intricate casualty placements, and shared and layered property programs
Your employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining the P&C license in the required states, as designated by Aon
You must successfully complete the required course work and pass the examinations within 120 days of your start date
You will be expected to pass the examination in no more than three attempts
If you do not pass after your third attempt, your employment with Aon will be terminated immediately
In addition, you will complete all required paperwork necessary in obtaining the license
