Responsibilities
Architect, design, and develop robust Android applications using Kotlin
Lead technical design discussions and enforce best practices for performance, scalability, and security
Drive end-to-end ownership of Android features—from design to deployment
Review code, mentor developers, and ensure high engineering standards
Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and reliability
Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and QA teams
Troubleshoot complex issues and provide long-term technical solutions
Ensure compliance with Android platform guidelines and release processes
Qualification
Required
8+ years of mobile application development experience with 5+ years in Android
Strong expertise in Kotlin and Android SDK
Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations
Proficiency in performance tuning, memory management, and debugging
Experience leading or mentoring Android developers
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration across US time zones
Preferred
Experience with Jetpack libraries (Compose, Room, Navigation) (nice to have)
Exposure to large-scale consumer or enterprise mobile applications (nice to have)
Prior experience working in fully remote, contract-based roles (nice to have)
