Responsibilities
Deploy functional wired/wireless campus networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
Monitor network performance and integrity to determine if improvements need to be made
Resolve issues escalated from helpdesk by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
Work with third party vendors to keep the network running efficiently
Communicate with network users to resolve network issues
Maintain complete technical documentation
Perform analysis and collect data to establish the potential for improvements within the NSU network
Qualification
Required
2-5 years of experience supporting a Cisco and Juniper campus/organization LAN/WAN environment
Experience with access control models and network security
Technical knowledge of current network technologies, protocols, and industry best practices
Demonstrated ability to conduct research related to networking issues and products as required
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to present technical information in a user-friendly manner
Solid experience in network administration and architecture
Solid understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
Preferred
Industry certifications such as CCNA preferred
