Desktop Support Technician
TEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to improve employee productivity by resolving hardware and software issues. The role involves troubleshooting, providing support for desktop/laptop devices, and acting as an escalation point within the Service Desk team.

Responsibilities
Assists the Level 3 with installs and repairs on:
Standalone and networked printers (Windows environment)
Video conferencing equipment
Other peripherals as assigned
Responds to and investigates customer inquiries, concerns, and issues via phone, ticket, and e-mail in a timely and courteous manner
Advanced troubleshooting of hardware and software issues related to desktop/laptop devices on Windows 7/10 systems either in-person or remotely
Provide support for identified Level 3 issues where solutions have already been documented and have a Runbook/Knowledgebase
Escalates complex and advanced issues to Level 3 support, with full descriptions of problems and actions taken prior
Identify and suggest possible improvements on processes and procedures
Maintain working knowledge of products and/or services
Other tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
5 years IT experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, etc.) – Large user base with these apps
Proficient in Hardware support and troubleshooting – Needs to know how to test and fix faulty hardware, swap out, etc
Proficient in Network Printers and troubleshooting – Tons of Network printers in BRIS, this is a must!
Advanced troubleshooting of hardware and software issues related to desktop/laptop devices on Windows 7/10 systems either in-person or remotely
Provide support for identified Level 3 issues where solutions have already been documented and have a Runbook/Knowledgebase
Escalates complex and advanced issues to Level 3 support, with full descriptions of problems and actions taken prior
Identify and suggest possible improvements on processes and procedures
Maintain working knowledge of products and/or services
People person, needs to have a good attitude, friendly and outgoing
Thick skin, this site is tough and needs someone who can roll with the punches
On the fly adaptability – lots of different assignments, changes day to day
Show up and be punctual!
Self-motivated
Preferred
MSP background is a plus (not a requirement)
A+ is also a plus (again, not a requirement)
PC Imaging, or some form of knowledge within this area
Laptop and Desktop deployment
IOS and Android familiarity. We deploy a ton of cell phones and tablets. Will need this in Bristol
Basic Active Directory knowledge, password resets, etc
Basic Azure knowledge, or able to quickly learn on the fly (not a ton done here, just need it for misc. tasks)
Basic networking knowledge. There are times we need to work with the upper IT departments and having this is helpful
