Data Governance Lead - Remote / Telecommute
Cynet Systems is seeking a Data Governance Lead to develop and implement a data governance roadmap that aligns with the organizational strategy. The role involves collaborating with data engineering and consumption teams to enforce data governance frameworks, identify gaps, and improve data quality in the healthcare domain.

Responsibilities
Develop Data Governance roadmap to align with organizational strategy
Closely work with data engineering and data consumption teams to design, implement, update, and enforce data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
Identify and communicate data governance gaps, mitigate threats, and realize benefits by implementing industry standards best practices of data governance in healthcare domain
Work with various teams to remediate barriers to proper data governance design
Facilitate data governance committee meetings
Develop & Drive metadata management initiatives to improve data discoverability, lineage and impact analysis
Onboard and configure Collibra Data Governance tool
Integration of Governance Tool with Snowflake, Informatica MDM, Azure Data Services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, etc
Monitoring data quality and continuous data quality improvement through data governance
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills to lead cross-functional teams and effectively communicate data governance policies and procedures
Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience working with various teams to implement and manage cross-functional data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
Familiarity with DBMS platform management and best practices
Proficiency in working with both OLTP and OLAP data platforms, preferably Snowflake and SQL Server
Experience with designing and maintaining role-based access control (RBAC) strategy on an enterprise data platform
Experience with data governance tools and platforms (Collibra preferred)
Familiarity with data cataloging and classification techniques for enterprise data assets
Proficiency in MDM concepts and best practices for managing master data across the organization
Data Quality Management: Knowledge of data quality assessment, profiling, cleansing, and monitoring techniques and tools
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or payer organization
Previous experience in a data operations role such as data engineering or data architecture, preferably in a healthcare or payer organization
Proficient in SQL and preferably Python
Strong understanding of Azure cloud services relevant to data management, including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Factory
Understanding of cloud ELT tools, preferably Matillion, and how they integrate with database platforms
