Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed engineering organization across Europe
Partner with the CTO, Head of Platform, and other leaders to align engineering efforts with company strategy
Collaborate closely with Product to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and delivery
Scale the team thoughtfully: Hiring, onboarding, and developing engineering talent
Establish and refine engineering processes that support a growing organization without creating unnecessary overhead
Bring structure and clarity to task tracking, planning, and delivery mechanisms
Continuously improve delivery velocity and predictability across teams
Foster a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in a remote-first environment
Qualification
Required
Significant experience leading engineering organizations of similar or larger scale
A track record of scaling teams and establishing effective processes during growth phases
Solid experience partnering with Product organizations—keeping projects on track and maintaining strong cross-functional alignment
Strong experience in the developer tooling space (observability experience is a plus)
Deep technical background: You can engage with staff engineers on architecture and technical trade-offs as a peer (our stack includes OpenTelemetry, ClickHouse, Kafka, and Kubernetes)
Experience with structured delivery practices and the judgment to apply them pragmatically
Excellent communication and the ability to build trust across a distributed, remote team
Based in Europe with the ability to collaborate across European time zones
