Responsibilities
Own and manage the end-to-end month-end close process for multiple VC-backed startup clients
Prepare and review accrual-basis accounting entries, including: -Deferred revenue-Accrued expenses-Fixed assets and depreciation
Maintain accurate financial records using Online QuickBooks
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
Ensure financials are investor-ready and aligned with VC reporting timelines
Support financial reporting required by founders, investors, and boards
Identify accounting issues proactively and resolve them with minimal supervision
Collaborate with internal teams while operating independently
Qualification
Required
Proven, verifiable experience working with VC-backed startups
Strong understanding of startup finance and investor reporting cycles
Extensive experience with accrual accounting
Hands-on experience owning full month-end close
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Preferred
Experience handling multiple startup clients simultaneously
Familiarity with US GAAP in startup environments
Prior experience supporting rapid-growth companies
