Responsibilities
Own the global GCP strategy and execution across all regions, products, and engineering domains
Establish GCP as the default execution layer across infrastructure, platforms, and application engineering
Define and evolve the firm’s long-term cloud operating model, governance, and FinOps discipline
Translate cloud strategy into measurable business outcomes, including faster time-to-market, improved platform scalability, and revenue enablement
Partner with executive leadership to ensure cloud investment supports growth priorities, new product launches, and geographic expansion
Design and evolve multi-region, highly resilient GCP architectures, including:
GKE and container platforms
Networking, IAM, and security controls
Observability, reliability, and disaster recovery
Build standardised, reusable platform capabilities that enable engineering teams to ship faster, scale safely, and innovate with confidence
Ensure platforms are designed to support high-volume transactions, customer growth, and future product diversification
Embed GCP deeply into the SDLC with an automation-first mindset:
CI/CD pipelines
Infrastructure as Code
SRE-led operational and reliability practices
Bake reliability, security, and compliance into platforms by design, enabling trust, availability, and regulatory confidence at scale
Lead the modernisation of core platforms to fully leverage native GCP services for scale, performance, and cost efficiency
Define and own the organisation’s data, analytics, and AI readiness on Google Cloud
Enable data-driven product innovation, pricing intelligence, and customer insight that directly supports revenue growth and commercial strategy
Partner with product leadership to ensure cloud capabilities accelerate feature velocity and monetisation opportunities
Build and lead a GCP-first cloud organisation, starting with senior leaders and scaling globally
Act as a senior technology advisor to the executive team and board, clearly articulating:
How cloud strategy supports revenue growth and margin expansion
Technology investment trade-offs and return on investment
Platform scalability aligned to long-term business strategy
Provide board-level visibility into platform performance, risk posture, and growth readiness
Represent technology as a strategic growth lever, not just an operational function
Qualification
Required
Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform adoption
Track record of building cloud platforms that extend beyond infrastructure into true engineering and product enablement
Deep hands-on understanding of GCP services, architectures, and operating models at scale
Experience in complex, regulated, or high-availability environments (FinTech or financial services preferred)
Executive-level technology leader with full accountability for strategy, execution, and outcomes
Comfortable operating at board level and deep technical depth
Strong builder mindset — able to design, implement, and scale platforms and teams
Commercially aware leader who understands how technology choices drive growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage
Pragmatic, outcomes-focused approach with a strong bias for automation and simplicity
Preferred
Experience in complex, regulated, or high-availability environments (FinTech or financial services preferred)
