Research Associate/Senior Research Associate/Research Fellow in High Speed Power Electronics
The University of Bristol's School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience is seeking interdisciplinary researchers to join their Electrical Energy Management Research Group. The role focuses on developing high-performance SiC and GaN power electronics and associated high-speed sensing technologies to contribute to Carbon Net Zero goals.

Responsibilities
Developing new measurement technologies for high-speed power electronics
Pushing the performance and efficiency limits of SiC and GaN power electronic switching
Advanced gate driving
Automotive and wind-power scale power electronics, all wide-bandgap, modules up to 2.3 kV
Advanced power module development
New methods and tools for device and die analysis
Reliability analysis of power semiconductor devices
Industrial Collaboration across various sectors
Qualification
Required
PhD or working towards equivalent R&D experience in Power Electronics, RF Electronics, Analogue Circuit Design, Pulsed Power, or similar areas
A desire to apply your knowledge to multi-disciplinary engineering problems that help us reach Carbon Net Zero
An ability and desire to work in a team, and to support PhD students
