Responsibilities
Support large-scale projects in project planning, design and design services during construction for water/wastewater facilities and other similar industrial facilities
For smaller projects, support electrical design efforts and coordination under the supervision of a Senior Electrical Engineer(s)
This will include establishing design criteria, performing design calculations, developing one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans and specifications, under the supervision of Senior Electrical Engineer
Develop project management skills including support in managing budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project/task scope schedule and budget
Utilize CAD Programs proficiently (Autodesk Products, etc.) to execute design work
You will be expected to perform system analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools or other power systems analysis software, under the supervision of Senior Electrical Engineer(s)
Perform engineering services during construction, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings and responding to contractor RFI’s (request for information), under the supervision of Senior Electrical Engineer(s)
This role will include conducting field inspections, assisting projects in construction which includes identifying deviations from design, and monitoring safety compliance
Some travel may be required to support project needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, a related discipline or equivalent work experience
Preferred
EIT certification or willingness to obtain within the first year of employment
Prior work or internship experience relevant to the position
Experience in Autodesk Revit or equivalent CAD program
