Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service with a friendly and approachable demeanor
Greet customers warmly, assist with inquiries, and offer recommendations
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing deli department
Ensure adherence to health department and company policies to maintain a safe environment for both dining and workplace activities
Take and fulfill customer orders while adhering to portion control guidelines
Monitor and communicate low or attention-needed product levels to cooks
Ensure accurate wrapping, labeling, pricing, logging, and dating of products; remove expired items
Prepare and package deli food condiments for cold and hot cases
Operate the cash register following Cashier Guidelines & Procedures, maintaining stocked supplies
Continuously enhance product knowledge to improve customer service and satisfaction
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be at least 18 years old
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Basic math proficiency, familiarity with ten-key/calculator, and comfortable using computers
Flexible schedule to accommodate varying shifts
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and proactively work independently
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Preferred
Prior retail experience and knowledge of Asian products
